Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain the arrangements for accessing psychological, neuropsychological and related professional services provided by Aurora Psychological Therapies Limited.

Our services are delivered by Dr Daniel Silva, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

By proceeding with an appointment or agreeing to receive our services, you acknowledge the terms applicable to your care or professional engagement.

2. Appointments and Referrals

Appointments are arranged following an initial enquiry and consideration of the services required.

Submitting an enquiry through our website does not constitute a confirmed appointment or guarantee that a particular service will be offered.

We may request relevant background information or referral documentation before confirming an appointment.

Appointments are primarily available online, with face-to-face consultations and formal neuropsychological testing available in East London where appropriate.

Services may be provided in English or Portuguese, subject to availability and clinical suitability.

3. Fees and Payment

Fees will be confirmed before an appointment or professional service is agreed.

Our standard fees are:

  • Individual psychological therapy: £135 per 50-minute session

  • Couples therapy: £175 per 50-minute session

  • Neuropsychological treatment and rehabilitation: £175 per 50-minute session

  • Clinical supervision: £135 per 50-minute session

Fees for neuropsychological assessments, specialist consultations, reports, medico-legal work and other professional services are agreed individually, depending on the nature and scope of the work.

Any additional charges will be explained and agreed in advance.

Payment arrangements, including the applicable payment deadline and accepted methods, will be confirmed when your appointment is arranged.

Where treatment is funded by an insurer or another organisation, you remain responsible for any charges not covered by that arrangement, subject to the terms agreed with you.

4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

We require at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

Cancellations should be communicated using the contact details provided when your appointment is confirmed.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will normally be charged at the full agreed fee.

Exceptional circumstances may be considered at our discretion.

Please note that insurers and other third-party funders may not cover cancellation or non-attendance charges. Where applicable, these charges remain your responsibility.

If you arrive late, your appointment will ordinarily finish at its scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notifying us, the appointment may be treated as missed and the full fee may apply.

If we need to cancel an appointment, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer alternative arrangements where available. You will not be charged for an appointment cancelled by us.

5. Online and Face-to-Face Appointments

Online appointments require a suitable private environment, a reliable internet connection and an appropriate device. You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your privacy, and we will take appropriate measures to maintain confidentiality and security.

If you attend from a public place or somewhere without adequate privacy, Dr Silva will not begin or continue the appointment unless you can move to a suitable private space. This protects your confidentiality and wellbeing and allows sensitive matters to be discussed safely. If the appointment cannot proceed or must end early for this reason, the full appointment fee will still apply.

Where technical difficulties prevent an appointment from proceeding, we will discuss suitable alternative arrangements.

Face-to-face appointments will take place at the location confirmed when booking.

6. Clinical Services, Assessments and Reports

Psychological therapy and neuropsychological services are tailored to individual circumstances and clinical needs. Specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Neuropsychological assessments may involve clinical interviews, review of relevant records, formal testing and preparation of a written report, where appropriate.

The scope, estimated cost and expected timescale of an assessment or report will be discussed before work begins.

Additional work outside the agreed scope may incur further charges, which will be explained in advance.

Reports and clinical opinions reflect the information available and professional judgement at the time they are prepared.

7. Confidentiality and Personal Information

Information shared during clinical appointments is treated confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable professional and data protection obligations.

Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law, necessary to address serious safeguarding concerns, or otherwise permitted or required under applicable professional obligations.

Where appropriate, information may be shared with other professionals or organisations involved in your care, subject to the relevant legal basis and confidentiality requirements.

Further details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

8. Ending or Changing Services

You may discuss ending therapy or other ongoing services with Dr Silva at any time.

Where clinically appropriate, we encourage planned endings to allow progress, ongoing needs and any recommendations to be reviewed.

We may recommend changes to the nature or frequency of appointments, or referral to another service, where this is considered clinically appropriate.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where appropriate, subject to professional obligations, reasonable notice where practicable, and consideration of clinical safety.

Any outstanding fees for services already provided or chargeable cancellations remain payable.

9. Complaints and Professional Standards

We aim to provide a professional, respectful and responsive service.

If you have concerns about any aspect of your care or our administration, please contact us so that the matter can be considered appropriately.

Further information is available in our Complaints Policy and Procedure.

Dr Daniel Silva is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is subject to its professional standards.

10. Emergencies and Crisis Support

Our website and routine enquiry arrangements are not monitored as an emergency service.

If you require immediate medical or mental health assistance, please contact the appropriate emergency or urgent care service.

In the UK, call 999 in an emergency or contact NHS 111 for urgent, non-emergency assistance.
