Clinical supervision costs £135 per 50-minute session.Supervision arrangements, including the frequency and focus of sessions, will be discussed and agreed according to your professional needs.
Cognitive and neuropsychological assessments are individually tailored according to your needs, the referral question and the complexity of the assessment required.Fees are therefore calculated on a bespoke basis rather than as a fixed package price. The overall cost reflects the clinical work involved, which may include an initial consultation, reviewing relevant records, selecting and administering appropriate tests, scoring and interpreting results, preparing a written report and providing feedback. Some assessments involve focused cognitive testing, while others require a more comprehensive neuropsychological assessment. The proposed scope of the assessment, anticipated time commitment and associated fees will be discussed and agreed with you before the assessment begins.
Payment is requested at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.Payment can be made by bank transfer using the details provided with your appointment confirmation or invoice.Monthly invoicing may be available by prior agreement. Where this arrangement is in place, payment must be made within seven calendar days of receiving the invoice. For cognitive and neuropsychological assessments, payment arrangements will be discussed and agreed before the assessment begins.
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice by email if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.Appointments cancelled or rearranged with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged at the full session fee unless an exception is agreed at Dr Silva's discretion. This policy applies to both online and face-to-face appointments, including cancellations due to illness, work commitments, travel disruption or other unexpected circumstances. The cancellation policy is in place because appointment times are reserved specifically for you and can be difficult to fill at short notice. If you are using private medical insurance, please be aware that insurers do not usually cover missed appointments or late cancellations. You will normally be responsible for these charges.
Dr Silva works with selected private medical insurers, including Aviva, Vitality and WPA. Please contact the practice before booking to confirm that your particular policy is accepted and that the proposed treatment or assessment is covered. If you intend to use private medical insurance, you will need to obtain authorisation directly from your insurer before attending your first appointment. You are responsible for confirming that your policy covers the proposed treatment, the number of sessions authorised and any applicable excess or co-payment.Please be aware that some insurers do not cover couples or family therapy, and certain specialist assessments may require separate authorisation.Where an insurer does not cover the full cost of an appointment, declines payment or applies an excess, you remain responsible for any outstanding balance.Missed appointments and late cancellations are not usually covered by private medical insurance and may be charged directly to you.
If you have concerns about the cost of private therapy, please raise these before booking or as soon as your circumstances change.Dr Silva can discuss whether a different frequency of appointments or a more focused piece of work would be clinically appropriate for your needs.Where private therapy is not financially accessible, the practice may be able to signpost you towards NHS services, charitable organisations or other lower-cost sources of psychological support.
